With new guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), D45 launched a revised Remote Learning plan on Tuesday, April 7.
Remote Learning Days all count as instructional days and do not need to be made up, meaning that the school year will not extend beyond May 22. In guidance put forth on March 27, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) has prioritized the following:
All students have opportunities for continued learning that focuses on critical standards
Districts work to minimize instructional loss
Students and families are given routines and structures to ensure they stay connected to schools and learning
View parent/guardian communication sent on April 6 for additional details.
Daily Learning
Teachers will provide daily learning guidelines to students and families.
Early Childhood and Elementary teachers work with parents/guardians directly to communicate daily learning activities.
Middle School students should access their grade level Google Classroom to find both their assignments and a schedule of learning that looks like an assignment notebook page; individual teachers will also post information for students in their own Google Classrooms, as well.
Please feel free to communicate with your teachers as needed with specific questions. Daily learning information will be shared no later than 8:30 a.m. on remote learning days.
